I'm having a totally random day, but the first thing that popped into my head was that you needed a lullaby...and Rock-a-bye-baby popped into my head. Then I thought, "Why do we sing such an awful thing to children?"
The lyrics: Rock-a-bye baby, in the tree top When the wind blows, the cradle will rock When the bough breaks, the cradle will fall Down will come baby, cradle and all!
Hey, if I had known that that counted as a post, I wouldn't have been absent so many days from blogging recently! Take care of yourself, and we'll see you tomorrow.
spin, that reminds me of Shel Silverstein's poem, which went something like this:
Rock-a-bye baby in the treetop Don't you know a treetop's no safe place to rock? And who put you up there, and your cradle too? Baby, I think someone down here has it in for you!
well, on the one hand this was a lazy post, but on the other hand I was knackered, started to write more, and decided that it was poetic just the way it was.
"Don't be afraid," my voice said. "No one is allowed to die more than once. The comedy will be over soon, and you'll never have to go through it again."
