nothing more to say, no more ace to play

Okay - you may remember that a few days ago I ran a little competition to see if we could create a more compelling election campaign poster than the Conservative Party.

You appear to have excelled yourselves.

Have a look at the entries below, and then I think we should have an open forum on which one is your favourite. The winner will then have the honour of naming a post on this website (in the house style, obviously - no purchase required, terms and conditions may apply, see website for details).

Entry#1 YokoSpungeon

Entry#2 Lord Bargain

Entry #3 Red One

Entry #4 Andy

Entry#5 Des

Entry#6 Lord Bargain

Entry#7 Statue John

Entry#8 Retro-Boy

Entry#9 SwissToni

Entry#10 Michael Howard

Let democracy decide who the winner will be...... will you be thinking what I'm thinking?

The best I could come up with was "If he's a vampire, how does Michael Howard go outside during the daytime?", but that wasn't very good, so I did not bother.

My vote is for Yoko Spungeon.

The incisive and hard hitting "Spoon" poster gets my vote too!

I'm loving Des' spoon poster too, but I'm casting my vote for Statue's bee covering effort - as much for the tagline as anything else. (Sorry, Des!)

I got a load of flyers through the letterbox this morning (again) - it struck me that the Labour ones tell me why I should vote Labour, the Tory ones tell me why I shouldn't vote Labour and the Liberal Democrat ones tell me I'd be silly to vote Labour.

Everyone's talking about Labour - and still the Torys will scratch their heads when they lose.

in the Eurovision spirit of "not voting for yourself", I like Yoko's as well.

Chips. Particularly if Michael Howard is your daddy.

I'm cheerring for the hometeam: I like yours, SwissToni. That wouldn't make for much of a prize, though, if you win.

I actually thought the last one was a joke, then I remembered who Michael Howard is...

Number five - the spoon poster. Des has revealed the inner workings of the Tory mind.

I'll vote for #1, it has that child like quality humour to it.

Did you know Graffiti has risen since these posters came up?

Thx for the support Mr. Statue (& everyone else)..in the spirit of not voting for oneself, i think I'll go with your bee covered effort too!

I like Lordy B's first effort.
Actually, I like them all but that's where my vote's going.

I like #7, Statue John's bee covered one.

But as a non-UK person who hasn't actually seen the originals and has little to no idea of the issues in this election, does my vote count? ;o)
